What is Khao Soi?

A mixed of crispy deep fried egg noodles combined with boiled egg noodles with a coconut milk curry sauce, choices of chicken beef or pork. The curry is somewhat similar to Massaman curry or yellow curry but a thinner consistency.

This soup can be found mostly in the northern parts of Thailand, also,khao soi is a dish that mixes the curry from Muslim culture with the noodles from Chinese culture, this is what makes it so special.

Some may mistaken it for curry laksa but khao soi is topped with crispy noodles, hallmark garnish and is definitely unique.

Is khao soi gluten free?

No.

Is khao soi spicy?

Slightly, usually served with dry chilly to add spice and fresh vegetables or pickled vegetables to calm the flavors.
